In Episode 5 of Season Four, Catherine O’Farrell brings to light her excruciating ordeal of being in a road accident. As Catherine cycled off into the Dubai sunset, a car hit her from behind and left her ‘literally’ hanging on for her life.
With an amazing team of people at the helm, Catherine began to visualize her future positively and created a new pathway that didn't match what she was originally told in the hospital. Catherine, backed by her mother and the doctor refused to accept that she would not walk again, and instead, ran, cycled and swam her way to what she is today - an Iron Woman! For anyone who has experienced a setback, this episode is not to be missed.

On today’s show Helen Farmer from Dubai Eye talks about the guilt of being a working mother. She talks about how her life was transformed when she was engaged, married and pregnant within a year. She was back at work within 45 days but as her first born turned one, the guilt started to creep in.
Helen goes on to explain how she tries to juggle being the full time host of ‘Afternoons with Helen Farmer on Dubai Eye 103.8’ and being mother to two girls. She is the first to admit it is a struggle and she does not have all the answers - and her approach is still a work in progress.

Alistair explains how his unfortunate past as a teenager has created a passion and motivation to help students today who are also misunderstood. In his compelling story, Allistair tells us about his counselling role at Deira International School, Dubai, and describes the key strategies he uses to help young people in a very competitive and challenging society teenagers find themselves in.

Professional sport and its challenges
To kick start off season 4 we had the pleasure to talk to Sean O’Shea, Director of Football and Cognita Schools Middle East.
Sean shares with us that life as a professional football coach isn't an easy role to fill, but his passion and desire to make it to the top gives Sean the drive to get up every day to lace his football boots and grab his whistle.
In this episode, Sean recalls his own challenging story of falling short of becoming a professional footballer, and identifies the challenges young boys and girls face in today's society with ‘not making it’.
With wellness and mental health as the focal point, Sean provides us with a clear understanding of how the care of the athletes is at the forefront of the coach's objective; something that maybe wasn't so prevalent when he took to the field for Huddersfield in the 1990s.
For anyone who has an interest in sports or anyone whose children would like to make it professionally, this episode is not to be missed.
